LG SH240 silicon-coated slider

Worth Reading?

YesNo

LG’s latest LG-SH240 slider may look normal – dull, even, considering some of the dual-display touchscreen blessed handsets we’ve seen from the company lately – but the glossy photos hide an awful secret: LG have given it a fleshy, silicon coating, so that it feels like you’re holding a severed hand to your ear.  Lovely.  Still, if you let your squeamishness put you off, you’re missing a reasonable cellphone; Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel camera and video calls via 3G areal present.

Whether they think the rest of us aren’t morbid enough to appreciate it, or just aren’t ready for a springy control pad, the SH240 is currently only available in Korea.  It’s sold with an expected retail price of 400,000KRW ($401).
