LG’s charming 5-megapixel-toting Viewty cellphone (which we first saw back at IFA 2007 and promptly shot six-tonnes of video of it) has apparently sold a healthy 550,000 units, and so to celebrate they’re launching a different colour variant.  Called “Dark Silver” - because “titanium” is obviously too common - the new version keeps the 3-inch touchscreen, UI borrowed from the PRADA cellphone and high-speed HSDPA, but adds a jog-wheel to skip through menus.

The Dark Silver Viewty will be sold alongside the existing, black one, and LG are saying that they’ll release further colour options (I’d quite like to see it in bright red) later on this year.

LG are claiming that 10,000 Viewty handsets are sold every day in Europe.
