Other than the Samsung W7900 Show and the occasional prototype there has not been a lot of action in the projector phone field. Although an appearance was made during the Hong Kong Electronics Fair.

As part of the Fair from April 13 to 16, 2009 which was hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, a number of interesting models made an appearance. The LitPhone, designed and showcased by China’s own SCT Optronics, is a GSM handset that sports CMMB TV tuning, a touchscreen and a built-in projector with an undisclosed native resolution.
The company also demonstrated its USB-powered PCLit mobile projector at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair, which sat alongside Join Technology’s JP77 and WE3 Technology’s WE8626. The model is said to be “Equivalent to PC” able to receive TV Broadcasts. Options to buy the phone are in bulk orders only at $250 per unit for a every 1,000. Availability in the US is not known.
