With a new partnership with Ustream.tv, Skyfire will be able to allow Windows Mobile and Symbian phones to stream live video through their browsers. What more could you want?



Skyfire supports both Flash 10 and Silverlight, which lets it play video. Ustream.tv is able to deliver streamed video content, including TV, videos, radio programming and more to mobile phones. Ustream will be automatically added to Skyfire’s list of bookmarks.

Skyfire was founded in April 2006 by Nitin Bhandari and Erik Swenson, who serve as CEO and CTO respectively. The Company backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Matrix Partners and Trinity Ventures. Currently, Skyfire runs on Windows Mobile (smartphones and PPC) and Nokia N and E Series (Symbian S60, 3rd Edition) phones. At the moment, the option is available in the US, Canada and the UK.
