Microsoft and RIM bringing Windows Live to the BlackBerry

In a press release by Microsoft, the news has got out that RIM and Microsoft have teamed up to provide Windows Live services to BlackBerry users. The main features that the partnership will bring are easy access to Windows Live Messenger, and better integration of Windows Live Hotmail on the BlackBerry platform.

The goal is that the partnership will allow BlackBerry users to be able to access Microsoft’s Windows Live services with close integration to the BlackBerry architecture. Microsoft has said that the deal will allow the “ability to communicate in real time using push technology” for Hotmail users that tote BlackBerries with them.

Microsoft is going all out on the Windows Live Messenger for the BlackBerry. They will bring such features as setting status, a personal status message, saving conversations, display pictures, file transfer, and even emoticons. It was not said how long it will be until we see the fruits of this deal, but with a full on press release, we are banking it will not take long.

    Microsoft and RIM this deal will defiantly bring some fruits for the blackberry users. Microsoft windows is the most user friendly OS and this will for sure increase the sales of Blackberry devices. Probably Blackberry bold 9000 new version has that OS.
