Someone needs to tell Microsoft that it’s not considered good-form to beg: the software giant has apparently been “urging” Nokia to release handsets that use the Windows Mobile OS in addition to the manufacturer’s Symbian platform.
“They obviously have significant investments in Symbian but there are a lot of places where we have significant synergies and we would love to see the day where those synergies would extend completely with Windows Mobile” John Starkweather, mobile communications business international marketing director, Microsoft

Apparently discussions have been ongoing between the two companies regarding the further adoption of Microsoft software in Nokia hardware; the latter already uses ActiveSync and PlayReady DRM for synchronisation and media management. According to Starkweather the relationship between the pair is “strong”, although no confirmation of any upcoming announcement would be made.
Should Nokia decide to produce a Windows Mobile-based device, it is uncertain whether they would start from scratch or rework an existing, likely E-series handset to cooperate with the new OS.

Sticking Windows Mobile on a Nokia will kill Nokia’s reputation for solid, reliable, user-friendly phones, and will ultimately kill Nokia
I like this thing. I buy it for my nephew and he’s very happy. I see this thing is worth your money.
Nokia must stick to symbian. It is really great. Nokia must introduce symbian system operator for computers and laptops. Three different version, business, imaging and music addition. Keep on with the great no#1 SALES in mobile phones.
