The last time I was watching something where I was unable to skip commercials I noticed a glut of advertisements of mobile phone downloads like ring tones and graphics. The thing that stuck out the most about the offerings was that you didn’t know it cost like $10 per month until the last two seconds of the commercial.

I am sure that has lead many consumers to end up with charges on their bill they never wanted or knew about. A class action suit was filed over unapproved mobile phone content charges some time last year with a deadline to be part of the action of January 2009.

The law firm handling the suit announced this week that a settlement with AT&T Mobility and Mobile Messenger Americas, Inc. had been reached. The settlement of the suit entitles participants to refunds of the alleged unauthorized charges to their mobile account.
