With all the focus on touchscreen phones as of late, it is almost refreshing to see these two new devices that look decent, have a reasonable price tag and are aimed at the standard cell phone user. Imagine that?
The Samsung Sway is a slider phone sporting a silver color, a 2-megapixel camera and a decent price tag of $119.99 on a two-year contract and $239.99 for a contract-free model. However, notably missing is EV-DO.
The Motorola VU30 Rapture is a flip phone that features a 2-megapixel camera as well, GPS, EV-DO and a “touch-sensitive external display.” Apparently, this limited touch capability is called “vanishing” by Verizon people. Yeah, okay. Anyway, you can expect to pay $179.99 for a two-year contract or $299.99 for a contract free version. All in all, two good phones here. Not great, not bad, but just good.
