The flip phone, the Motorola VE465 has been officially announced by Alltel. Pictures were appearing online last week, availability through the carrier is for real this time.

The basic flip / clamshell phone has a 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and EVDO data. It supports microSD cards up to 4GB and is compatible with Alltel’s Celltop service. The VE465 costs $50 with a new agreement.

The phone has been around for a while although now available with Alltel. The phone has a great list of features for a flip including those listed above as well as an almost 2 inch display, is only 3.90 x 1.89 x 0.70 inches in size weighing a little over 100 grams (3.77 oz). The model has 4.5 hours of talk time and 288 hours standby.
