Motorola is the main purveyor of iDEN after all, so it only makes sense that they release some hot phones on the aging network. With Dan Hesse himself announcing that Nextel would receive an influx of new devices, it only seemed natural that a device like this would find its way into the Nextel stores around the country.

The device seems like it is a iDEN variant of the RAZR2, of course it is packed with a whole lot more PTT. The device has no release date or specifications yet, but they should be known soon enough. It seems that ‘CABO’ is a code name, as when the device launches, it will get its proper iDEN name, of i890. The device is a far cry from the traditional rugged iDEN devices, and should be a welcome refresh for the iDEN faithful.
