Motorola has announced the MOTOROKR W6. This is a clamshell phone for sports, fitness and music fans in Mexico.


To help you while out there while getting all sweaty, the W6 allows users to create and maintain a fitness training plan. This managed via an onboard stopwatch, a database of aerobic sequences and calories burned. With this, giving the user the ability to export the data as Excel spreadsheets. First released in Peru last October, the software was created by a team of researchers and developers in Latin America.

To blend into your fitness plan the handset also includes a music experience with a dedicated button for playing songs. This features MOTOID, a service which allows users to easily identify songs. By using the Bluetooth A2DP connectivity, users are able to listen to music with wireless stereo headsets. The W6 also includes a 1.3 megapixel camera with digital zoom, 20MB of internal memory to store pictures and support for external microSD cards. It will be available in Mexico soon.
