Lacking the slide-out keyboard of its Xda Zinc II sibling, the new MVG Atom V nonetheless manages to score with the rest of its features: quadband GSM/GPRS and triband 3.6Mbps UMTS/HSDPA , WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0, as well as a better camera than the Zinc II (3 megapixels rather than 2) and a slightly faster processor (520MHz rather than 500MHz, in this case the Marvell PXA270).

There’s some confusion on the Expansys product page as to whether the 2.8-inch touchscreen is VGA or QVGA (I’m hoping for the former, obviously), but the 256MB ROM and 64MB RAM are the same as the Zinc II, as is the microSD expansion slot, SiRF Star III GPS receiver and FM radio with RDS.
The Xda Atom V is available for pre-order now, priced at HK$4,775 ($611).
