GPS navigation is one of the features that the iPhone 3G and 3GS were most liked for. The new iPhone 3.0 OS supports a micropayment system and AT&T launched its own GPS navigation app for the iPhone at a stiff price of $9.99 monthly.

Navigon has announced that it is offering a new GPS navigation app for the iPhone that is available now on the App Store. The application is selling for $69.99 until August 15 when it goes to $99.99. Notice that there are no monthly charges here.

The app features maps and data saved directly on the device bypassing subscription fees or waits for map downloads. The device features Reality view Pro, Lane Assistant Pro, Speed Assistant, and a day & night mode. The app supports the iPhone 3GS only.
