Last time I saw my grandmother she asked if she could borrow my mobile phone. I pulled my iPhone out of my pocket and handed it to her. She looked at it, handed the phone back to me, and said never mind. The lack of buttons and small text were more than her elderly eyes and fingers could handle.

Jitterbug has launched a new mobile phone that grandma will be able to use that is called the Jitterbug J cell phone. The device supports new services and allows users to turn services they don’t use off. The new handset is also paired with new lower cost mobile phone plans.
Features of the new handset include a new slim design, Bluetooth capability, easier to use navigation, a front speaker phone activation button, call waiting, and 30% longer battery life on standby. New services offered with the J handset include MyCalendar letting users call Jitterbug operators to manage their calendar and SimpleText lets users send and respond to texts with pre-written messages.
LiveNurse is a feature that allows customers unlimited access to a registered nurse 24/7 and access to a library of health information. The final new service is Jitterbug Complete Care, a package rolling in roadside assistance and a no questions asked handset replacement along with the LiveNurse service for $9 per month. The Jitterbug J handset sells for $147.
