Many iPhone users were disappointed to find out that the new iPhone 3G does not support copy and paste. A true smartphone should have this basic feature in place – why didn’t Apple add this function to its new handset?

While some might think there could be technical cognitive factor preventing Apple to develop copy and paste feature, it was not the case at all. Head of marketing for Apple, Greg Joswiak recently revealed to AppScout that copy and paste function simply not a priority.
This is why not many iPhone developer would seriously consider developing an office suite for the handset – without copy and paste function, an office suite on the iPhone will not be able to give the same flexibility on document arrangement and composition. Let’s see if copy and paste will make the cut on the next firmware updates.
