The upcoming Nokia E71 has just gotten a thorough review. The review is extremely positive for the device, and the whole feel of the review was that the device is one of the best things to come from Nokia in quite some time. According to the review, the design is amazing. The device is very thin, and according to the review, the whole package “just works well together”.

The device features a QVGA screen. According to the review, the screen on the device is more “pleasurable” to use than the screen on the N95. The screen is very nice for web browsing, and playback of media files. The screen is described as “detailed and clean”.
This thing has got connections down. You got yourself some WiFi, and of course HSDPA. For times when you can not find yourself a high speed network, you still can fall back on quad band GSM/EDGE. It has A-GPS, but there is an actual GPS chip in the device.
The device supports all sorts of email protocols. There is of course Exchange, and then the usual POP and IMAP syncing ability. If Exchange is not your thing, then folks familiar with BlackBerry Internet Services will be right at home, as RIM’s flavor of push email is supported on the device.
The device is very little, and Nokia did not make concessions to get it that way, except perhaps one. The device’s keyboard is very small. It is smaller than its E61 predecessor, but overall with any mobile keyboard, practice makes perfect, and a little time will do wonders for that.
An interesting but welcome inclusion is predictive text. Now, it is a full keyboard, but everyone makes mistakes. Thinks iPhone predictive text, how is corrects a misspelled word. The E71 has this, and also makes suggestions. In mid word if it makes the suggestion you want, hit the space bar to continue on.
The device has one monster of a battery. 1500mAH, which is plenty for a full day of intense usage. It also has excellent call quality, good enough that they looked forward to calling people.

Nokia E71 is the phone i have been waiting for. One thing which i have noticed and didnt mentioned in the review was the interface speed. Does it crawl like the E61 and E62? Or is it so fast that there is no comparison?. Looking forward to have it doesn’t matter who ever carrier brings it 1st.
