Nokia gets a call Under the Sea

YesNo

Wet and smelling a little ‘interesting’, a Nokia 1600 was retrieved from the tummy of an unsuspecting Cod. Still operable, the phone might be one of the toughest out there and perfect for those who love a spot of fishing.

British businessman Andrew Cheatle was reportedly “messing about with (his) dog and the phone must have fallen out and been swept out in the swell.” He kept calling it but gave up hope after a couple of days. The phone however had different plans; while out shopping with his girlfriend for a new handset, her phone rang and a chap on the other end asked her to swallow the story of a 25lb cod he had just caught. The 25lb cod that had swallowed her boyfriend’s Nokia.

The caller was a fisherman Glen Kerley. He was using Mr. Cheatle’s SIM card stating that the greedy fish will eat just about anything from cups, stones to false teeth. Cheatle can now enjoy being followed by many hungry house cats with the only essence of the phones adventures being the smell. Nothing like a little Cod Liver Oil in the morning.
