There has been an outcry this week from Nokia fans, as it was discovered that all those expensive N-Gage games they had purchased were only good for one device. So something happens to that nice Nseries device in your pocket, you are not eligible to take your games with you to the new device you get. The games are all registered to one IMEI, this was confirmed by Nokia.

Nokia has responded to the negative press, which by the time the day closed out yesterday had echoed through the blogosphere. Nokia is now saying that they will find a way to make the games transferable to a new device. According to the response, there was a misunderstanding, even though the limitation was stated clearly in the N-Gage terms of service.

There was no time frame given of when the new method of transferring games will be available. It was also not disclosed why there was never a method to do so in the first place. N-Gage is Nokia’s new gaming software, which launched in April. It is available to use on the N95, the N81, and the N82. The average price for a game is around $10.
