Not only have we had sneaking suspicions that the North American version of the Nokia N85 will be coming soon, but Amazon.com and Nokiausa.com have confirmed this on their sites. The North American edition is a tri-band 3G (850/1900/2100MHz) handset.

There is still no word on an official shipping date, but users are already reporting confirmation emails saying the device has been shipped. Amazon is currently listing the price at $555.99 while Nokiausa is asking only $502. Amazon also states that the N95 NAM “usually ships within 2-4 weeks” on their website. We are very temped to take the trip over there and order it. We’ll see just how long we can wait for the Nokia N97.
