With its non U.S siblings all getting the upgrade treatment to the 20.02.011 firmware, just like other N95-1 and N95-2 devices across the seas. N95-3 users are no doubt used to being treated as lower priority N95 owners, so the update finally being made available is a huge relief. Finally, the N95-3 is on track with all the other N95 devices.

First, lets go over all the exciting new things that are there. First, Flash Lite 3 is confirmed and working in this new update. This allows flash videos to play in the S60 browser. A good example is many video sharing sites, which use flash videos to display user uploads. Also, a number of improvements to performance have been added, as well as widgets.

What is not in the update are things like automatic screen rotation, using the devices accelerometer. Many do not like the feature, and that could explain why it was left out. Applications like RotateMe are out there though if auto rotation is your style. The firmware is available now, just fire up Nokia PC Suite and check for the update.
