Nokia announced that their N96 smartphone will be released in America in Q4 of 2008. The 3G HSDPA phone will have a 2.8 inch screen, 16GB storage, a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and GPS and WiFi.

Even though the phone has been available for some time in Europe it will just now make its debut in the U.S. A kickstand will also be included so you can prop up the device for watching movies. It is truly a multimedia phone that is primed for music, movies and more.

This phone could have been a real iPhone competitor, but its price tag is more than enough to scare people away. With no contract, the Nokia N96 will cost $895!

Just to correct you, the N96 is not yet available anywhere, and is only expected to hit the European shops at the start of October 2008.
