Nokia will finally be jumping on the touchscreen bandwagon next month when they officially launch the Tube on October 2, according to Pocket-lint. That is the date we can expect a global launch of the device.

We’ve seen many a leak and tidbit about this phone but now it’s about to get official. We may have to part ways with the Tube moniker, however, as this device is likely to be placed under the XpressMusic heading. It would make sense, since it will launch in London at an event intended to introduce the Nokia Comes With Music service.

And since Nokia intends to get a touchscreen out to the public before the year is through, the timeline would make sense. If they hold true to their word, we could be looking at a highly competitive device here.
