A rush of new handsets was debuted this week and among them was the new Nokia 2705 Shade. The device is a flip phone with a glossy black shell destined for the Verizon network. Verizon says that it is one of the smallest handsets available on its network.

The device is VZ Navigator capable and has color Xpress-on covers that are available as accessories to change the looks of the phone. The device can store up to 1000 contacts and is small and lightweight for easy transportation. Text, picture, and voice messaging are supported.
The battery inside the device is good for up to 300 minutes of usage or 360 hours of standby. The camera has 1.3MP resolution and the device supports Bluetooth for printing, headsets and more. The Shade will launch on October 6 at $29.99 with a new agreement and covers will sell for $19.99.
