Nokia US have seemingly begun shipping the N95 8GB, the handset having been approved by the FCC back in January. The handset - which adds 8GB of memory to the original N95 as well as US-spec HSDPA and a larger, 2.8-inch screen - is listed at $779 SIM-free on Nokia’s site, although it’s currently out-of-stock (presumably from pre-orders). No carriers have yet announced their intention to pick up the handset and subsidise it with a contract.

The N95 8GB also has Assisted-GPS, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, speaker-independent voice dialing and runs the Symbian S60 v9.2 OS.
Nokia is expected to launch the replacement to the N95 8GB, the N96, in Q3 this year.
