Opera is an insanely popular and functional mobile browser. Opera Mini will run on just about anything, and its big brother Opera Mobile for smart phones takes the functionality to the next level. Having used it before, I can attest that it is indeed a good browser. It’s current iteration of 8.65 already has a loyal following, but what about the upcoming Opera Mobile 9.5?

What if I told you it is the best mobile browser, ever? That is what a blogger at ZDNet is claiming, after testing the new browser out on an HTC Advantage. According to the article, the browser is very finger friendly and intuitive, it integrates itself into the touch screen very well, and supports flash, as well as true desktop quality web browsing.
Apparently the new iPhone optimized version of Google Reader works very well using the new browser. Speaking of the iPhone, the Safari browser is compared multiple times to Opera Mobile, and according to the article, Opera Mobile reigns supreme thanks to the ability to copy and paste, along with the ability to play flash, save off line websites, and store passwords.

Great article, Chase.
If you like Opera Mobile/Mini, check out Opera v9.5 beta2 for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
Very fast, solid security (even on Windows), great features baked in without having to install/update add-ons all the time, like Speed Dial, auto-sync of your bookmarks/nicknames with your phone (!), Quick Find your entire history from the address bar, rewind/fast-forward for article reading, undelete tabs and windows, and a ton more… Try it for a few days, you won’t go back.
