I’m a sucker for a good cellphone concept, and this e-paper-based example, called P-Per, from Chocolate Design Agency really pushes all my buttons. They’ve started with the idea that, if your display is paper-thin, why not wrap the whole device in it rather than just mimic a traditional screen, and then of course they’ve made the entire thing touch-sensitive and given it a UI which – as you can see in the demo video after the cut – is deliciously intuitive.

The ripples as the screen changes near the end of the video are enough to put pay to any lingering lusts I may have held for the iPhone, and the fact that it would be a relatively eco-friendly product – low-power display, just four layers of sustainable materials and an Organic Radical battery – is the icing on the neatly-designed cake.

Please, somebody, build me one!
