HTC today launched the P3470 Windows Mobile 6 Pro smartphone, one of the smallest touchscreen handsets in its range and yet still carrying a 2.8-inch display, 2-megapixel camera and GPS with TomTom Navigation preloaded. In fact, the only thing power users will miss is some sort of high-speed data: the quadband GSM handset tops out at EDGE, unlike other models in HTC’s range which have the joys of HSDPA.

Still, HTC are likely to find an audience for the P3470 when it launches in the UK, France, Spain and the Netherlands on the Orange network for €449 ($650) later this month. It will be bundled with a 1GB microSD card for data and GPS mapping.
