Palm has unveiled its next webOS handset that is also destined for the Sprint network. The new device is called the Pixi and is hailed as the thinnest Palm handset ever. The device has an external QWERTY keyboard.

Other features include all the niceties that the webOS offers like Synergy and universal search. The device operates on dual-band CDMA2000 networks and uses the 3G EVDO Rev A network of Sprint. The screen of the Pixi is 2.63-inches and has 18-bit color with a resolution of 320 x 400.

Support for corporate and private email is features with Exchange support and support for direct push technology. The device also handles IM, SMS, and MMS messaging. GPS is built into the handset along with a 2MP camera with LED flash. The Pixi has 8GB of internal memory with 7GB accessible by the user. Pricing is unknown at this time.
