Why Palm continually bring out the same old smartphone is beyond my comprehension. If the list of specs leave you feeling underwhelmed, then the name is going to make you want to puke. Can you imagine asking your friends if they want to check out your new Wanda smartphone?

Palm Wanda

Speaking of specs, there’s nothing terribly exciting or new on the Wanda. It’s targeted towards the prosumer market and will be the successor to the 500v. It’s a tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE/3G/3.6 HSDPA, GPS, 1200mAh battery, QWERTY keyboard, same old 2.2-inch 320×240 color display and powered by Windows Mobile 6.1.

The Palm Wanda price tag is 180 euro or roughly $350. The estimated target launch date is September of 2008. Folks that’s nearly 9-months away. If it’s going to take Palm 9 months to launch this smartphone – the company deserves to be out of business!
