The SDK has been released for the Sony Ericisson Panel Interface that is expected to be officially released soon on the XPERIA X1. Even though the X1 will be based on Windows Mobile 61, the Panel interface is an attempt at customizing the user’s experience and making the device a little more friendy to use.

With the SDK now released, the company is hoping developers will take it up and create new functions and ideas for the panels, which will then be available for download via a Panel browser on the X1.

This browser is called “Get More Panels” and it allows users to customize their phones. It seems Sony Ericsson will even be working with individual carriers so that they can have panels that fall in line with their services.
