Someone over at Motorola hit the go button too early and posted the official webpage for the Droid for all to see. The page has since been pulled, but not before we grabbed screen shots and the official specs for your perusal.

Despite the fact that Windows Mobile 6.5 only recently hit the prime time Microsoft already has an update in the wings. Apparently Windows Mobile 6.5.1 is ready for the bigs and set for RTM. No word on when the OS might actually be available.
The HTC Desire for Verizon was spotted in the wild recently and it looks pretty good. The device is a touchscreen Android handset and that is about all we know about the device at this point.
HTC has announced that it will be releasing the Hero kernel source code to developers. Said code is available to download now and will allow devs to make custom ROMs for the handset.

Thank you phonemag for this update.
The Motorola Droid sure is a winner in terms of spec but the problem tech-critiques are seeing is the way the form-factor was assembled.
Compare to the sleek-style of iPhone. We hope that it won’t be a turn-off to the aspiring buyers once the New Droid finally unveils on the market.

Very little is gonna beat the iPhone in terms of “form, slick factor”, but in functionality? You’d be shocked how far ahead some other phones are.
I was gonna get the Samsung Omnia II, but now the Motorola Droid.. Ah.. I’m melting to have this phone. I wish they would hurry up and interview it though… Does anyone know if it can taxt all 3 ways? i.e, full physical qwerty keyboard, full touch qwerty keyboard in landscape mode, and I already know about the regular touch-txt as if it were a normal phone. I asked this question on http://www.Motorola-Droid.org feel free to share your views.
