Word has come in today according to a poster over at the Sprint forums that Sprint has blocked the use of smartphones as 3G modems after years of allowing the practice. One user is very angry and plans to sue Sprint over the issue.

Best Buy is now taking pre-orders for the hot Motorola DROID smartphone. The best news is that Best Buy is giving the $100 mail-in rebate as an instant discount. That means you can walk in and get the DROID for $199.99.

The Verizon HTC Droid Eris has been spied again in the wild. Am I the only one who finds the Motorola DROID and the HTC Droid Eris to be too similar in name? The device is said to be very similar to the sprint Hero.
