This week started off with rumors that Palm’s new webOS operating system might make another appearance on the Centro 2. This would be really exciting because everything we hear about the operating system makes us more anxious for its release. An AT&T executive has just stated that he is open to free mobile TV. Will this mean we will be seeing these services soon?

Nokia has a new location sensor that will detect the whereabouts of whatever it is attached to within 30 meters. This is great when you’re heading out the door and have somehow misplaced your keys. It looks as if HTC’s entire 2009 roadmap has leaked onto the net with pictures of several devices. For a limited time you can pick up a pink Samsung Instinct through Sprint. This device is a bit oddly colored with a very light pink hue.

It appears that the first leaked photos of the new Sprint Palm Treo Pro have gotten out.  It is being said that this device will make it to customers in two weeks for a full retail price of $549.  There are also rumors of visual voicemail coming to the BlackBerry Bold. There is a “leaked” photo with a visual voicemail icon on the home screen. It’s about time the Bold got visual voicemail.  The Palm Pre is also rumored to be sold exclusively at Best Buy for two months. This wounds very reasonable because they quite often get Sprints high-end smartphones.

The Motorola PEBL Rose Bloom is making its debut just in time for Valentines Day. Ironically this clamshell has a pink flower on the face.  Boost Mobile is set up to offer $50 unlimited calling, text and data plans.  This will give Sprint a nice much needed boost and in the end may turn many customers their way.  There was another leak this week, apparently the upcoming Sprint HTC Diamond ROM comes with Mobile Internet Explorer 6.

For owners of the BlackBerry Curve 8900 or Storm who are tired of having their battery die everyday, now you can go out and pick up a BlackBerry 1600mAh extended life battery for only $44.95. The powers that be have finally allowed Obama to keep his beloved BlackBerry, though it will only be for personal, non-business use only.  BlackBerry owners who are fond of the Google’s Android interface cannot have that same look and feel on their current handset.
