It’s that time again, dear readers, to recap what we talked about here on PhoneMag this past week. We started out the week with the official announcement for the T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8320 Sunset edition, which sports a bright orange color and we got our first preview of the Motorola Alexander, which is rumored to be the company’s latest flagship phone.

We also got word that AT&T was expanding their international plan to allow for greater voice and data coverage, partially due to the Olympics. The HTC Touch Diamond reached one million phones shipped this week with expectations of two to three million by the end of the year.
Openmoko released the casing schematics for their Neo 1973 and Neo FreeRunner open-source to encourage greater development and improvements in the design. The BlackBerry Kickstart will be coming to Rogers in the coming weeks in conjunction with its arrival to T-Mobile.

An update came to the Omnia i900 from Samsung this week, upgrading the firmware and changing some orientation settings. There was lots of BlackBerry news this week, apparently. We learned the BlackBerry Thunder is going to be called the BlackBerry 9539 and the BlackBerry Kickstart is going to be called the BlackBerry Pearl 8220 on the Rogers network in Canada and T-Mobile.
Speaking of T-Mobile, they may very well be getting their very own App Store by the end of the year, which is rumored to be modeled after Apple’s recent release.
