Another week has come and gone and now it’s time to review all that we’ve talked about here on PhoneMag. For starters, we found out that Sprint released the Katana Eclipse X, but then we got our hands on it for a review. Turns out, this phone is meant for media lovers that need a few smartphone features without the cumbersome smartphone price tag.

Sprint reported additional losses in the third quarter of this year. But in better news, Nokia started shipping the N96 in the US and the company manufacturer has plans to expand their affordable phone offerings and new services in emerging markets. And as if that weren’t enough, Nokia also announced plans for several reorganization efforts within the company.

We also happened across approximate pricing for the BlackBerry Storm, which is now believed to be $499. Vodafone also announced the release date for the BlackBerry Storm, which is now expected to be November 14th.
Docomo also announced that they would be releasing 22 new phone models as a part of 4 different series of products. T-Mobile also has plans to push out their 4G LTE network, with testing occurring sometime in 2010.

Apple beat RIM and Nokia in the smartphone market, making the iPhone top dog. Plus, the AT&T Quickfire was spotted in stores this week. It seems that since it lacks an official release date, stores are just offering it up for sale now. And that was about it this week, folks, though there is sure to be more news right around the bend.
