Another week has come to a close and that means it’s time for another week in review. This week we saw Clearwire and Sprint finish up their long-talked-about merger for the WiMAX network. But really, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Samsung announced a new phone designed with the pre-teen in mind called the Tobi S3030. Plus, they decided to give the whole luxury phone concept another go with their S9402. But Samsung wasn’t the only company with new product announcements this week.
In fact, we found out the iRiver Wave will be released in Korea on March 9th. Plus, the Nokia N97 smartphone was announced, like, officially. We even got video and photos to prove it. Speaking of media, more photos of the Motorola Attila and the Alexander showed up as well.

We found out that C510 is to be the official model number for the Sony Ericsson phone code-named “Kate.” And, the HTC MAX got its first ever review, albeit it’s pretty short.
In business news, things are not exactly looking up for many of today’s leading handset makers and carriers. For instance, RIM had an unexpected drop in revenue during the third quarter. And this is even with the BlackBerry Storm on their docket! Even worse, AT&T has cut 12,000 jobs in an effort to streamline their business and focus more exclusively on their wireless offerings. I hate to end the recap on that depressing note, but sometimes that’s just the way it works out! Maybe better news will be on the horizon this week?
