It has been a good week this week, we started off with fantastic news that Mozilla’s new mobile browser Fennec is being developed for Symbian S60. Due to technical or licensing reasons, Symbian will have an upper hand because Fennec won’t be available for the iPhone, BlackBerry or Android handsets.

The FCC recently passed the new 8-megapixel Samsung Pixon M8800. This specific version will be making its way over to AT&T and their fast 3G network. We simply cannot wait to get our hands on this and test it out. It seems that once a week we are getting new information about the Motorola Atila or A3000. This handset is set to be a pretty powerful handset with a 528 MHz Qualcomm CPU, 256 ROM and 128MB of RAM. The 3.2-megapixel camera has autofocus and LED flash.
We have seen quite a few renders of the new Motorola handsets coming to Verizon wireless. These handsets range from mid-grade feature phones to full blown smartphones. We are dreaming that one of these may turn out to be the new Android-powered handset that Motorola is currently working on. These phones have interesting codenames such as Calgary, Rush 2, Blaze, Flash, Niagra, Fairbanks and Harmony.

Alltel has finally launched their Alltel Mobile Email application. This application allows users to check and sync many popular email clients with their phone. Setup is as simple as entering your email address and password. Supported clients include AOL, Hotmail, yahoo and many other popular services. There have been a few reliable sources that have come fourth telling BGR that the return rate on RIM’s BlackBerry Storm are as high as 35-50 percent. This number is astonishingly high which makes us believe this is only a rumor.
Handango and Best Buy have entered into an agreement to bring applications purchase to the big box store. The applications offered will be for a variety of mobile platforms including Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Palm, and Symbian S60 smartphones. The applications will be available for purchase though Best Buy’s in-store digital “Mobile Genie†system.There are several rumors flying around talking about the new T-Mobile G2. While these are all rumors, the April launch date seems to stick. The new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has finally made its way through the FCC. The point we are trying to drive here is that this model is unbranded which indicates it will probably be unlocked and it will also have 3G.
