New customers choosing Virgin Mobile USA’s new Monthly Plans Without Annual Contracts will automatically be enrolled in the Pink Slip Protection. The program has been developed to protect customers if they become unemployed.
The $29.99, $39.99 and Totally Unlimited for $49.99 plans are enrolled into the program. To be eligible for assistance (if the need arises), the customer needs to maintain their contract for two months. From that point, if the customer loses his or her job and becomes eligible for state unemployment benefits within the next 12 months, Virgin Mobile USA will step in with Pink Slip Protection.
Coverage of the plan includes covering the cost of the monthly plan including taxes and surcharges for up to three months. Please note that proof of eligibility for state unemployment benefits will be required. The program is available from April 15 and more information is available through http://web.virginmobileusa.com/protection/

This is bogus! They offer this to new customers to bring them over but there neglecting there loyal customers. And this break is only going to apply to a small number of people. The economy is bad for everyone, they need to give everyone the break and especially there loyal customers.
