Power me up Sun

Scosche are releasing a neat gadget powered by the sun. The bluetooth speaker phone known as solCHAT is retailing for $99.99.

The solCHAT is powered by an integrated solar panel and lithium ion rechargeable battery combination. While driving or distracted, the solCHAT tells you who is calling via voice announce technology. This technology is also there while setting up the bluetooth pairing in the first place. This all very helpful to the non-technical. The phone actually turns itself off once out of range of the paired device.

For the gloomy days or those that are night owls; there are alternative battery charging options away via USB and a car adaptor. The device comes with a suction cup to attach to the windscreen of the car (this also to be in the best position to suck up that sunlight).
