Late last week a screen shot form a Rogers Wireless webpage surfaced showing that the company may be offering an 8GB iPhone 3GS. I wondered at the time, despite how legit the rumor seemed, if it would make sense for Apple to kill off the iPhone 3G when it was making headway into other carriers with its 3G and leaving the 3GS for its exclusive partners.

While a chart on one page of the Rogers site clearly shows that there is an 8GB iPhone 3GS at one point, the front page of the site shows no iPhone 3GS. Giz received a response form a Rogers spokesperson about the 8GB 3GS.
According to the spokesperson there is no 8GB iPhone 3GS and the chart on the website showing there was one was caused by a formatting error. At least the mistake this time didn’t send stocks plummeting. It looks like the 8GB iPhone 3G will live on.
