Samsung already have several high-end phones, including those that possess an 8-megapixel camera. However, the company is working on upping their game even more with more offerings that increase the pixel count.
 

 
An article at Telecoms Korea suggested that Samsung might have an 8-megapixel camera phone with 3x zoom included. This would also sport autofocus and a 1/2.6-inch CMOS sensor. But that’s not the super impressive part. While we’re likely to see a phone with this camera module sometime early next year, there’s also a 12-megapixel camera coming.

This 12-megapixel camera phone would be smaller than the 8-megapixel model. This means it would gracefully fit in the phones of tomorrow. It’s impossible to say when something like this would hit the consumer market, but we hope it’s sooner rather than later.
