Samsung’s A827 Access for AT&T might not be as slick as its fellow Mobile TV-playing handset, LG’s Vu, but considering the estimated price tag of $130 (with two-year contract and after a $50 rebate) you’re getting plenty for your money. Vincent had a chance to play with the Access at CTIA Wireless, and came back with this video demo and image gallery (as well as being surprisingly impressed). The Access is quadband GSM, with 3G HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0 (with the A2DP stereo profile) a 1.3-megapixel camera and one-touch access to AT&T Mobile TV.

Samsung are claiming the Access’ 2.3-inch landscape-orientation display is “comparable to DVD quality”, and while that might be up to the eye of the beholder, Vincent certainly found it great for watching AT&T’s lineup of CBS Mobile, Comedy Central, ESPN TV, FOX Mobile, MTV, NBC 2GO, NBC News2Go and Nickelodeon.
We’re still expecting the Samsung Access for AT&T to launch in May, along with the Mobile TV service itself.
