Verizon Wireless have announced the Samsung FlipShot, available in red and black, complete with swivelling display and side-mounted 3-megapixel camera.  The handset, which is compatible with Verizon’s V CAST music and video download service, as well as VZ Navigator for mapping and directions, has a 240 x 360 260k colour internal display and can connect to a PictBridge-equipped printer.

Bluetooth, “Living Wallpaper”, a speakerphone and organiser suite are accompanied by a browser which Verizon describe as “Mobile Web 2.0″ compliant.  The most unusual feature of the FlipShot is a business card scan option, which repurposes the camera as a mobile scanner.

The Samsung FlipShot will be available for $149.99 after a $50 rebate and with a two-year contract.
