The Samsung G810 is another phone that’s anticipated to get announced at Mobile World Congress. If the website mobil.idnes.cz is to correct on the specs, we’re looking at a strong competitor to Nokia’s N95 feature set. I really mean it this time, especially with the same Symbian-powered operating system (Symbian 9.2 OS with S60 3.1 UI), a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, macro mode, 3x optical zoom, anti-shake, face recognition, and an integrated GPS. How do you like them apples Nokia?

It’s got a decent 1200 mAh battery, believe me you, it’s going to need every bit of juice to keep the phone going. There’s a 150MB of on board memory and should you need more, use the microSD memory card slot. Wireless connectivity includes Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, WiFi 802.11b/g, UMTS / 3.6 Mbps HSDPA. Unfortunately, the compatible frequencies are yet to be determined. I wished that Samsung had gone with larger LCD display than a 2.6-inch. The Nokia N95 8GB has it, why should the G810?
My only concern for Samsung is that Nokia will be pulling out their next generation of devices sporting the new Symbian Series 60 touch OS. If everything goes as I expect them to, then the G810 will look pale in comparison.
