With a Bang & Olufsen ICEpower amplifier, microSD slot supporting up to 4GB cards and built-in speaker, Samsung’s i458 certainly is trying to present a good alternative to existing music phones. And running Symbian S60 v3.1 with a 2.4-inch display and HSDPA connectivity, the i458 stands a good chance of being a decent phone, too. The dual-slide is similar to that on Nokia’s N95, although with a wheel control rather than boring old buttons.

A 3.5mm headphone socket means no frustrating adaptor is necessary when you want to use your own cans, while there are fourteen equaliser presets and a meagre 25MB of internal storage. The i458 measures 101 x 52 x 17.8mm, weighs 110g and will be priced at 14,950 Taiwan dollars ($495).
