The Android community is waiting with anticipation for the glut of Android-powered handsets that Google has promised to hit the market. Among the promised 18 Android phone scoring this year is the Samsung i7500 announced back in April.

The geeks over at Macworld have got their hands on the Galaxy/i7500 and are telling those of us wishing we had one to play with exactly what the i7500 is good for. We already knew the phone had a virtual keyboard and a 5-megapixel camera along with GPS, Wi-Fi, and WCDMA support.
We didn’t have any hands on impression of the device though. The Galaxy is said to be impressively slim and the screen has good haptics feedback. Battery life isn’t offered, but with the screen being OLED, it should be good. The accelerometer reacts quickly when the phone is turned. In the end, the Galaxy is not a match for the iPhone, but comes closer than anything else figures the reviewer.

“In the end, the Galaxy is not a match for the iPhone, but comes closer than anything else figures the reviewer.”
You don’t even need to bother saying things like that when the source is “Macworld” I’m sure there were plenty of other none biased sources you could have used.
I agree, that’s a very biased source. from what I’ve read this thing surpasses the iphone in a number of categories. OLED screen, better camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, haptics, etc. Not to mention its running android and doesn’t rely on proprietary formats
