Do you remember this watermarked-happy image we posted of the Samsung i900? I bet that drove you nuts, because I was seeing double or triple after a few seconds. Well my friends, there’s much better shot and yes there’s only ONE watermark on it.

samsung i900

As my buddy Chris stated in the previous post, this could easily be Sammy’s new flagship smartphone for 2008, making its first appearance at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Windows Mobile 6.1 powers it, sporting a gorgeous iPhonesque 3.5-inch touchscreen. Unfortunately, unlike the iPhone’s 320 x 480 resolutions, the i900 will only be 240 x 400 pix (probably a Windows Mobile limitation), quad-band GSM/UMTS with 7.2Mbps HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR.

Other fine features include an integrated GPS, FM radio, TV-out, a BIG 5-megapixel camera and microSDHC slot support a maximum capacity of 8GB. The battery is 1500mAh Li-Ion – which is massive by industry standard.

  1. Staska says:

The image is actually a photoshop mock-up :)

    It comes from MobiFrance:
    http://www.mobifrance.com/news/2008-01-22/id10863/A-quoi-pourrait-ressembler-le-Samsung-i900–Sa-disponibilite-Septembre-2008/

and they admit themselves, that they just took Samsung F490 and slapped WM screen on it for illustration purposes

  2. Surur says:

That screenshot is clearly photoshopped. That means there is no gaurentee this thing even runs WM.

  3. Thanks for the follow-up comments guys!
