Samsung isn’t exactly the best known name in the mobile phone market, but it’s not at the bottom of the bunch either. Several of its smartphones have proven to be popular enough with users on different networks.

Part of the appeal of smartphones today is the software available to run on the devices. You only have to look at the Google Marketplace or the Apple App Store to see how successful applications can be. Samsung has announced that on July 30 it will launch its own app store.
Samsung says that the Seller Site is a bridge for developers and content providers to connect with end-users. A developer can register a relevant application on the backend and then the apps are promoted on the Samsung Application Store. Any developer who wants to promote or sell apps for the Symbian or Windows Mobile OS’ can register as a member for $1.
