Verizon Wireless has officially launched the Samsung Rouge and Intensity handsets on its network. The devices sport the features we expect to find on feature phones that are messaging-centric.

Both handsets have slide-our QWERTY keyboards messaging fans will like. The Rouge gets the better screen of the pair with a 3.1-inch AMOLED with WVGA resolution. The Intensity gets the less impressive 2.1-inch normal LCD.

The Rouge has a 3MP camera with flash and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 16GB of storage. The Intensity surfs the web, as does the Rouge, but lacks the enterprise email support that the Rouge offers. The Intensity has a 1.3MP camera, microSD card slot and a few other features. Verizon will offer the Rouge for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and the Intensity will go for $29.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
