This light-redish colored phone (pink) from Samsung is one of the many to come featuring AMOLED displays. Samsung is looking to expand their AMOLED portfolio, and the S5050 is just one more device to add to the list already populated by the likes of the Impression and the Tocco.

The S5050 is a slider phone which features EDGE data, an FM radio, stereo Bluetooth, microSDHC support and a wonderfully vibrant 320 X 240 display. AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) displays, as many of you know, are particularly bright and colorful, and are able to run on considerably less power than conventional displays.

Right now, it’s looking like the S5050 is overseas only, with no idea if Samsung plans on bringing it to the shores of the U.S.
